Summer Time!

Wednesday, a friend from church had a funeral she needed to attend so Jess and I volunteered to keep her girls for awhile. They are the cutest things and sit right behind us at church so we are pretty familiar with each other. The oldest one is 3 and the youngest one is getting ready to turn 1. Let me go on record to say the we had a great time-BUT...3 is a whole lot different than 1. I really didn't realize how tired I was until they all left. We did have fun and I am glad that we were able to help. I know how it is when you need a sitter and can't find one! I am going to try and post some pictures of the girls playing and swimming. Jessica loved having someone around to play with--Sorry, NOT HAPPENING! She have to settle for friends!

Memorial Day 2008

With all the swimming, movie going, cook outs and family time that went on yesterday, I hope everyone took time to think about, thank and honor our service people who give willing of their lives to give us the opportunity to live in a free country. We, no doubt, live in the best country in the world and so many times take our freedoms for granted. Let's be sure that everyday, and especially on holidays, the we remember all the ones who and served and died for us!

An Accident or Just Stupid???

This past Saturday was going along just fine! Jessica had decided to take a mid-morning nap, so I thought it would be a good time to clean my whirlpool tub! Started the water, put the cleaner in, now I have to do is wait on it to fill up to the jets!! In the meantime, Jess wakes up. We went to the restroom, got some juice, you know, the "mommie" things we do!! Guess what I forgot...the tub was running! A few minutes later I went to take something into the bathroom and there were bubbles coming over the top of the tub! I ran in, to turn off the water, not knowing that the water was already all over the floor. Long story short...Kenny and I spent 2 hours-reasonalblely short-at the emergency room! No broken bones, but a nice gash on my elbow and super sore! Yesterday was rather painful and today is better, even though I am still VERY careful with my left arm. My guess is it took the blunt of my fall. It is still sore and hard to bend but I think it is getting better. Since I am trying to type this with one hand I am going to close with no further comment...I will leave those up to YOU!

Quick Post

Just a quick blog to let you know Jessica got her mouth guard today. We went to the dentist this morning and she let her put it right in. So far, she has not tried to get it out and it doesn't seem to be bothering her too much. Hopefully, we will be able to use it when she starts grinding her teeth and maybe we won't have to use it long! That's our objective...it may or may not work like we all have it planned! Have a good day!
