Birthdays, Mother's Day...EVERYDAY!

We have had a very busy last week or so. On Friday, my Dad celebrated his birthday. Kenny, Jessi, Kristen and I took Mom and him out for dinner. We went to Red Lobster and really had a nice time. Samantha had a dinner at school that Karen and Ervin had to attend so we just had to make do with the ones we could get there. Walker had to work until 8 pm and there was no way I was waiting until 8 to go to eat with Jessica! Sorry, Walker! Saturday we had a luncheon at church for Mother's Day. Mom had planned on going but Samantha's soccer team was playing in the state play-offs, so Mom and Dad went with them! (They got beat :() The luncheon was very nice and afterwards, Kenny, his Mom and sister and Jess and I went to Lowe's.

Sunday, I got up to my coffee ready and a chais lounger for my pool! Love it! I am sure it will come in handy as summer is coming on-QUICKLY! We had lunch at The Holton's with a pretty small group. It was a great dinner through. Then we came home and Jess and Dad swam for a few minutes before heading back to church.

Monday morning, I took Jessica to school and a little later, Kenny and I headed to town to look at a car. It was a used one that we had heard about. Our Jeep was about to "eat us alive" with gas going up every day! We were looking for an Altima or Camary. After looking with no success, we had lunch and started home. We decided to stop by the Nissan lot and look. The had a nice looking used Maxima and of course the sales man told us we could get in a new one cheaper. After looking around, we found a new Altima that we liked and the money was better. With a cheaper interest, and just a couple of months more than we owed on our Jeep, we are in it. It is so nice. It has every "bell and whistle" you can imagine. It gets 15-20 more MPG than our jeep so that was the biggest whistle for me!

I am going to try and post some pictures, and hopefully I 'll be able to get them up soon. Hope all you Moms out there had a get day Sunday! Our Moms our special people and I think we don't fully appreciate them until we are Moms ourselves!
